Following The London Coffee Festival, we spent a great day in Manchester visiting Kev Lewis from Coffee Blog UK.
This was a special opportunity to step away from the busy festival environment and continue the conversations around coffee, espresso machines, and the journey behind KUBO in a more relaxed setting.
About Kev Lewis
For those who may not yet be familiar with his work, Kev Lewis is one of the UK’s best-known independent coffee reviewers and the creator of Coffee Blog UK and the Coffee Kev YouTube channel.
Through his platforms, he shares in-depth coffee equipment reviews, brewing guides, and practical content for home baristas and coffee enthusiasts. His work has built a strong and engaged community around better coffee at home.
Talking Coffee, Machines and KUBO
During our visit, we had a really enjoyable conversation about coffee culture, espresso machines, and the ideas that shaped KUBO.
It was great to exchange perspectives with someone who spends so much time testing and reviewing equipment in real home setups, and who understands what matters most to everyday users.
Leaving KUBO for Review
As part of the visit, we also left a KUBO machine with Kev for review.
Over the next weeks, he will be spending time with it in his own setup, and we’re really looking forward to hearing his feedback and seeing how it performs in a real home barista environment.
What’s Coming Next
Kev will be publishing new content over the coming weeks, including a sit-down conversation where we talk in depth about KUBO, its development, and the philosophy behind the project, as well as his hands-on experience with the machine in use.
We’re really looking forward to sharing his perspective with his audience and the wider coffee community.
A Meaningful Visit
It was a real pleasure spending time together and sharing KUBO with someone who is genuinely passionate about coffee and deeply connected to the home barista world.
Moments like this are always important to us, as they help bridge development with real-world experience and honest feedback.
Looking Ahead
Experiences like this remind us how exciting it is to see KUBO becoming part of the wider coffee community.
This is just one of many steps as we continue to bring KUBO into real homes, real conversations, and real coffee routines.
