In this second production update, we want to share where we are with the PCBs, one of the most critical components of KUBO.
At the moment, we’re waiting for the electronic components to arrive at the PCB factory. Once they do, the factory will manufacture the latest and final PCB iteration, which includes several key improvements over the previous version.
What’s improved in this PCB revision?
-
An internal buzzer has been added to provide sound alerts and feedback during use.
-
The USB connection has been improved, allowing the tablet to be charged reliably directly from the machine.
-
We’ve also addressed a couple of issues discovered during long testing sessions with the previous PCB version.
Expected timeline
The components should arrive at the factory within 7–10 days. Manufacturing will take around one week, after which the PCBs will be shipped to us.
Validation & next steps
Once we receive them, we’ll test the boards extensively, running them 24/7 for many hours to ensure everything is fully stable and solved.
After hardware validation, we’ll proceed with the final firmware updates, which are already in their last stages.
We’ll continue sharing real, meaningful updates as production progresses.
