KUBO Production Update #5 – Final Hardware Confirmed

We want to start this update by being completely transparent.

Our original plan was to start shipping KUBO units by the end of March. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced a small delay that will push this timeline slightly. We sincerely apologize for this and truly appreciate your patience while we make sure everything meets the standards we committed to.

PCB validation completed

After extensive testing and also thanks to feedback and emails from our testers, we can now confirm that the latest PCB iteration performs exactly as expected.

All the improvements introduced in this revision are working correctly and delivering consistent results during long testing sessions. This was one of the most critical checkpoints before moving forward.

Final PCB production

As soon as testing was completed, we officially placed the order for all PCBs required to fulfill the KUBO preorders.

The order is already being processed by the factory, but they are currently waiting on one specific component: the SSR relays. Unfortunately, these were not available in sufficient quantities to cover all preorder units.

Originally, the plan was to source them through a US warehouse for faster delivery, but due to ongoing global supply chain disruptions and recent geopolitical tensions affecting international logistics, this was unfortunately not possible. As a result, we had to secure the components through a different supplier, which has added approximately 10–14 days to our production timeline.

We did evaluate the possibility of switching to an alternative SSR relay to avoid the delay. However, after careful consideration, we decided not to take that risk. A component change at this stage would require new validation and long testing cycles, and if the behavior didn’t perfectly match our expectations, it could actually delay production even further.

We want to be fully honest here: at this point, all preorder machines are already assembled and ready, only waiting for the final PCB installation and packaging. The SSR component is the last missing hardware element preventing us from starting shipments as originally planned for the end of this month.

Accessories & extras

Accessories have already been shipped and we’re currently waiting for them to arrive at our warehouse.

The surprise gift included with the preorder also finished production last week and is already on its way.

Regional plugs

The UK and US plugs are scheduled to leave the factory this Friday and will be shipped to us immediately after.

What this means

We know delays are never ideal, especially when you’re waiting for something you supported early. Our priority remains the same: making sure every machine ships fully validated rather than rushing units out incomplete.

We will share a more precise updated shipping window as soon as the final PCB components arrive and installation begins.
